Doctrinal Statement
We believe the Bible to be the inerrant, infallible, Word of God and therefore fully embrace its teachings, and commandments. Simply put, it is not true because we believe it; we believe it because it is true. The Bible does not need our belief to be validated, it stands without correction, or error, on its own and we accept it for that and seek to have a greater understanding and relationship with God by spending time in His Word. This is the first mission of Sunday school, to study the Bible in a full, and complete, manner that better enriches the lives of those in a class. Our second mission is to do everything within our capability to minister to the needs of one another through the power of the small group. Everyone has needs and our desire to support each other comes to us as a command from God's Word as found in Galatians 6:2, "Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ".

We believe in the saving grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and by this statement mean that we accept the sacrifice in which He made for us by dying upon the cross for our sins. Therefore we adhere to the Biblical principle of The Eternal Security of the Believer or as sometimes referred to as, Once Saved, Always Saved. We find this taught in John 10:27-30, "My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Fathers hand. I and the Father are one".

We also embrace the Biblical principle of The Royal Priesthood of the Believer, and by this we understand that once we have accepted Christ as our personal Savior we then as believers have the authority, and privilege, to Boldly Approach the Throne of Grace, without the need for another human being to intervene on our behalf. We find this taught in Hebrews 4:16, "Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need".

1st Peter 2:9, "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises if him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light".

We believe in, and practice, the Biblical principle of Tithing and understand that it is part of our worship of our Lord as well as a command found in Malachi 3:10-11, "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this, says the Lord Almighty, and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it".

We believe that every believer should be Serving in some capacity according the spiritual gifts given to them at the time of their salvation to edify the Body of Christ which is the Church. 1st Peter 4:10, "Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms".

These are a few of our main beliefs that we hold and sincerely hope that this information has been helpful to you as you consider Empty Jar Ministries.
